1. - A bit of history. The Archeological Museum.

Many tourist want to go behind the topics of the place they are visiting. To those people,  it may be interesting spend some time paying a visit to the Archeological Museum of Jerez. They will contemplate various relevant pieces, as the Greek helmet, two cylindrical idols, Roman busts, Etc.

HEADSTONE WITH ALMOHADE INSCRIPTION FROM JEREZ TOWN WALL. 

It was situated on the upper part of the gateway arch leading to the medina in Jerez through the Puerta del Real, which was demolished in 1,821.

The text is religious,  It consists of basmala (expression or saying with which Muslims begin all important acts), continues with thetasliya (prayer to the prophet) and finishes with the last part of verse 64 of surah 12 of the Koran. It is translated as: "In the name of God, the Merciful, the Gracious, (be) the blessing of God upon Mohammed. God is the best Guardian. He is the most Merciful of Merciful”.
